| Subject: I Am Waiting By ElizabethPotter Sun May 18, 2008 11:30 pm | |
| This is poem that I wrote for a friend that I had in my time which had long not seen and we came back together in a mystrey way. I Am Waiting I am waiting, Waiting for you to return to me.
Though this world is a beautiful thing, It is you and your beauty that I want to see.
Without you, daylight seems dimmer, Without you by my side, I am lost.
In my mind, your smile does shimmer, But to see it again would be of infinite cost.
For you are alive, still, In a world I cannot return to.
It seems wrong to wait for a kill, But that’s what it would take to reunite me with you.
They say that death brings peace, But all leaving you behind brings is pain.
I do not want you to feel that release, Yet I want to see you again.
Be careful, my love, I am watching over you.
Look at the stars up above, Even from another world, I can see them, too.
Someday my waiting will end, And we’ll be together again, my friend. | |
